Transparent consent and opt-out policy for SMS safety messages
What is PeopleSafe SMS?
PeopleSafe sends SMS safety messages on behalf of employers to their workers. These messages support workplace safety training, compliance reminders, and incident notifications. Messages are only sent when a worker explicitly opts in during their registration process.
Message Types
When you opt in to PeopleSafe SMS, you may receive the following types of messages from your employer:
Weekly Safety Training Quiz Notifications
Links to your weekly safety training quiz assignment
Workplace Hazard & Safety Alerts
Urgent safety alerts and hazard notifications from your employer
Certification Expiration Reminders
Reminders when your safety certifications are approaching expiration
Incident Reporting Notifications
Updates on reported safety incidents at your worksite
OSHA Compliance Reminders
Weekly OSHA form completion reminders for project managers
General Safety Program Updates
Safety program updates and announcements from your employer
How to Opt In
Workers receive a registration invitation from their employer via email. During the registration process, workers are presented with an explicit, unchecked consent checkbox:
I agree to receive SMS safety messages from my employer via PeopleSafe. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe.
This checkbox is unchecked by default. Consent is voluntary.
Consent is voluntary and is not required to participate in your employer's safety program through other means (such as email or in-person training).
Opt-Out Instructions
Reply STOP to any PeopleSafe message to immediately unsubscribe from all SMS notifications.
Reply HELP to any message for program information and support contact details.
You can also contact us at support@peoplesafe.co to opt out.
Opt-out requests are processed immediately and your preference is stored permanently. You will not receive any further SMS messages from PeopleSafe after opting out.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your employer's safety program settings. Typically, you can expect to receive 2 to 4 messages per week, including weekly quiz notifications and follow-up reminders.

TCPA & Legal Compliance
PeopleSafe is fully committed to compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable federal and state regulations governing SMS communications:
- Consent is never pre-checked or assumed. Workers must actively check the opt-in checkbox during registration.
- Records of consent, including timestamps and IP metadata, are securely stored and available for audit.
- Opt-out requests via STOP keyword are honored immediately and permanently.
- We maintain a suppression list to ensure opted-out numbers never receive messages.
- All messages identify PeopleSafe as the sender and include opt-out instructions.
- We comply with CTIA messaging guidelines and carrier requirements for A2P 10DLC messaging.
